The lost soul

Let’s take the road less travelled
What will happen more than getting stranded?
What will happen more than losing our way?
What will happen more than getting lost for days?
What will happen more than never reaching anywhere?
Nothing more!!!

Let’s leave the fears aside and follow the dispersed light
To reach the place of which we know nothing about
Let’s just create footsteps instead of following them
Let’s just move ahead without a hope
Let’s just breathe without a purpose
Let’s just flow with the lost tide
What if we get drowned and die

Nothing more!!!

Headphone Mania

Some scholar once said, listen double of how much you speak. But the Gen X seems to have taken that too seriously. No applause for the obedient young ones as they are not forging ahead in listening to their peers or parents but are glued to their earphones like they have not been separated from the naval cord since birth and have reattached it at the wrong place instead.

Not much before there were times when we used to venture out without any cellphones and still land home safely. However, now even the munna takes his phone to accompany him in the grueling bathroom session on the commode.

With economy heading towards the south, I wonder that despite of everyone glued to their phones everywhere, how come the shares are not showing any glowing development. Be it the rickshawala, the auto driver or a girl crossing road on heels, everyone makes sure not to skip a music beat while on the move.

Even kids make sure to keep their phones beside their pillow in case some breaking news needs their attention or a friend in need lands into an emergency. The truth is different; the addiction to just keep your fingers swiping the phone screen makes all the work important in itself.

With deaths due to road rage and road accidents becoming a record every year, people still prefer to keep their ears stuffed with earphones rather than paying attention to horns being blown by impatient drivers, thanks to no law against unnecessary honking.

I still remember my father’s phone taking a bath with him as he had to answer an emergency phone call from his boss. The people have generalized the notion that a person must always be answerable on phone, no matter if he is taking a bath. Even mothers grow impatient and tense when their daughter avoids to pick her phone while withdrawing money from an atm.

A simple invention to enable better listening of a phone call has now a rope dangling over the shoulders. But technology and innovation comes with a price and that we all must know.

Ram Singh suicide makes Nirbhaya rest in peace

Ram Singh, Nirbhaya, Nirbhaya Fund, Delhi gangrape, Delhi gangrape accused, India

While the suicidal tendencies are on a rise among the youths in India, It is a good trend among jail inmates committing suicide in jails. Like one of the accused of the Delhi gangrape case Ram Singh took his life in the Tihar jail, the fellow prisoners must too draw inspiration from him and get rid of their rotting lives in jail.

Now let me justify why we must promote suicides in jails. Even a child has a clue that criminals in India have just a one percent chance of being executed in our so called largest democracy that boasts of the most elaborated and justified constitution in the world.

While the Indian governments enjoy cooperation from the retarded judicial system, criminals make merry on being caught. Reason one: With soaring inflation and cost of living, one can easily enjoy fixed three time meals in a jail which fulfils all his three needs of roti, kapda aur makaan…..without even sweating for it.

After being served in the jail for almost a decade, Ajmal Kasab and Afzal Guru were hanged only because the Indian government had to face the most unpredictable 2014 general elections. Therefore the criminals must be encouraged to ease the burden of their sins by claiming their lives.

It was quite a painful sight to watch the Delhi gangrape victim’s mother being honoured on Women’s Day on her behalf. A single glimpse at the depressed mother’s face was enough to explain her restlessness, pain and grief that she was forced to receive the award despite of the government, the President turning a deaf ear to her demands of giving death penalty to the most cruel juvenile accused in the case.

I hope Nirbhaya’s soul must have achieved a bit of peace today. Rest in peace Nirbhaya.
