Want to go near the God, want bountiful blessings for your endeavour
or missing your mother? Come to Maa Dham at Chhatikara in Mathura.
The mere presence of the serene atmosphere vanishes your problems,
tensions and grudges towards life. Not just any old age home but a place that takes
you near the heaven with not just one but about hundred mothers eager to shower
you with their love and blessings.
Women from all walks of life greeting you with ’Radhe Radhe’
will make you forget your accent and attitude.
Different personalities, different languages and different tales of grief. They remind of the downfall of man who has committed the sin of hurting the most beautiful creation of the almighty - woman.
Different personalities, different languages and different tales of grief. They remind of the downfall of man who has committed the sin of hurting the most beautiful creation of the almighty - woman.
Just a glimpse at their longing faces reminds you of what
all you can boast of which are often undermined amid the negligible shortfalls because
there are many who have lost what they once had.
There are many who once were welcomed as ’Goddess Laxmi’ but were tortured and ousted
on being declared a burden. Discarded by heartless sons and daughters-in-law or
ousted by the demonous husbands after being burnt and beaten, the women spend
their lives in Maa Dham with peace and calm.
The one who caught my sight and left me speechless was a woman
around a century of age as indicated vaguely by her appearance who only speaks rural
Bengali and was found lying lifeless on a Vrindavan street.
She sings Bengali
bhajans and prays for death from the almighty with tears rolling down her eyes on
every glimpse of a smiling face. Unaware of the worldly conversations and lost
in her thoughts, she asks for gutkha if anyone understands her request.
Spending their lives in the Maa Dham premises, the woman are
provided a bed, food, healthcare, 24-hour nurse, doctors, emergency hospital facilities
in a clean and sprawling environment along with love and care.
Celebrate your birthday or anniversary or just a picnic at
Maa Dam for the heavenly experience.
The Maa Dham stands on hard work and devotion of several selfless people who donate grocery, money etc for the trust created by Mrs Mohini Giri, social worker and daughter-in-law of late former President V.V. Giri.
I never had such a heavenly experience. It seems the aura automatically came in. Incredible place. Will visit it for sure. Thanks Ruchi.. :)
