THE INDIAN MARRIAGE BUSINESS

Do you know the number of dowry deaths in our motherland(female)? NO?
You would be staring in my eyes if I tell you it's "25,000".
And guess what, these are only the registered cases. The unseen ones might give you a heartattack (if you have a soul). These dowry deaths include the ones killed brutally by either burning the henna decorated brides or by extortions, torture, poisioning, hanging and many other masscre ideas developed by the in-laws. And it also include the suicide cases as well( the brides who think killing yourself is a better option than being killed).
These numbers are disturbing.
The biggest sorrow is its not having any relation with people being literate or not and rich or not. The rich want more dowry, the literate want more dowry. The humanity is lost in this unofficial selling and buying of brides and grooms. Parents of the groom feel as if they have borne a prince. Resultingly, the parents feel as if they have taken a 25 year loan. The well educated, earning grooms forget all their ego and self-esteem while begging for dowry. The beautiful, educated brides feel as if they are a taboo to their families which has to be washed off as early as possible.
Can we think of a newly wedlocks( arranged marriages) to fall in love each other when one knows how much has been paid to the other "?" May mercy prevail in this wedding market.
Some bussinessmen( groom side) demand dowry in the name of tradition. Is it a tradiion to burn ur " grah-lakshmi". You kill your Laxmi, how the hell are you gonna become rich than "?"
Tomorrow, do answer your children, how much you were paid to get your mother.
One last question, "Will you forget ur Self-esteem and Ego while you u Marry?"
